Important Question about this Wednesday’s meeting.
Posted by katieh under plans
Hello all!
Given that various people went to the Knitting and Stitching Show on Sunday, and bought yarn, I am wondering if it would be better to move the meeting to my house (in Headington) just for this week?
That way, anyone who has anything that needs winding to do can do it themselves, and get to take back their new yarn when they go home, rather than leaving it with me for a week.
I’m happy to provide drinks (tea, coffee, diet coke, open a bottle of wine etc), and we could sort out some food between us.
Given that the weather is getting colder, and people are starting to think about Christmas presents, this seems like a good time to have a (semi)-impromptu winding party.
What does everyone think?

Sounds good to me. Am happy to bring a bit of baking.
Baking! Sounds like a great idea.
Me too! I was feeling a tad guilty about asking Katie to wind a kilometer of yarn for me
Works for me!
Headington is a bit of a long way for me given that I would then have to get all the way back to the station in order to get home, so I might give it a miss I’m afraid. I’m going to keep my Colinette unballed though, as I’m supposed to be getting a winder for my birthday and I’ll need something to try it out on!
Sorry about that.
I knew you would have the furthest to travel. The 400 (park and ride bus) does go from headington shops all the way to the station, but you’d need to check bus times, as they are a bit more irratic at the end of the day.
(if you haven’t got a winder by your do in early november, i’m happy to bring mine along then.
I think it’s a great idea! I shall bring rhubarb crumble made with rhubarb from the garden! xx
Cool! I’m going to make home made veggie pizza i think.
